Brake Caliper: Service and Repair
Removal
1980-83 CHEROKEE, TRUCK & WAGONEER; 1984-87 GRAND WAGONEER & TRUCK
1. Drain and discard 2/3 of brake fluid from master cylinder front reservoir.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove front wheel and tire assemblies.
4. Press caliper piston to bottom of bore using suitable screwdriver or C-clamp.
5. Remove caliper mounting bolts.
6. Remove caliper by lifting upward and out of shield and support.
