Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Drain oil from engine.
4.
On CJ and Scrambler models, position a suitable jack under transmission. Remove right engine support cushion bracket from engine block. Raise
engine slightly.
5.
Remove starter motor attaching bolts, then the starter motor.
6.
Remove flywheel housing access cover.
7.
Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan by sliding toward rear.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
