Starter Armature: Testing and Inspection
Armature Ground Test
1.
Place armature in growler and turn power switch to "TEST" position.
2.
Place one lead of test lamp on armature core and other lead to each commutator bar.
3.
If test lamp lights at any time, replace armature.
