Camshaft: Service and Repair

1.
Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
2.
Remove radiator and if equipped with A/C, the condenser.
3.
Remove intake manifold as previously outlined.
4.
Remove fuel pump, push rods and valve lifters.
5.
Remove timing case cover as previously outlined.
6.
Remove timing chain and sprockets as outlined in ``Timing Chain & Sprockets, Replace'' procedure.
7.
Carefully slide camshaft out of cylinder block.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
