Information
This I.S. Note contains instructions for installing the low profile trailer tow mirror on a Cherokee/ Wagoneer 70 Series replacement door.
Mirror installation is as follows.
FIGURE 1 - LAYOUT DIMENSIONS FOR MIRROR MOUNTING HOLES
Procedure
1.
Layout and mark location of mirror upper and lower mounting holes A and B as shown in Figure 1, prior to painting door.
2.
Center punch and drill two, 1/8-inch diameter mounting holes at location B (Fig. 1).
3.
Center punch and drill 1/8-inch diameter pilot holes at mounting hole locations A (Fig. 1). Then drill mounting hole A to final 3/8-inch diameter
size.
