Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Disconnect ignition wires from spark plugs.
3.
Disconnect air lines from air manifold.
4.
Raise and support vehicle.
5.
Disconnect front exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
6.
Lower vehicle.
7.
Remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts, then separate manifold from cylinder head.
8.
Remove air injection manifold, service fittings and washers.
9.
Reverse procedure to install. During installation of exhaust manifold, torque manifold center attaching bolts to 25 ft. lbs. Torque manifold outer
bolts to 15 ft. lbs.
