Wheel Bearing: Adjustments
Wheel Bearings Adjust
FULL-FLOATING AXLE
1. Remove axle shaft as described in "Axle Shaft, Remove."
2. Straighten lip of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Rotate wheel and tighten adjusting nut to specification to seat bearings.
5. Install locknut, tighten to specification, and bend over lockwasher lip.
