Fuel Pump Failure - Fuse Blown

DETAIL

Vehicles within the above Vin range that are fitted with a 7.5 amp rated fuse for the fuel pump, may exhibit the fuse blowing causing the vehicle fuel pump to become disabled. The 7.5amp fuse for the fuel pump should be replaced with a 10amp fuse.

ACTION REQUIRED

Information only: If a fuel pump failure is identified, check the integrity of the 7.5 amp fuse. Replace the fuse with an uprated 10 amp fuse.

RTC 4501 10amp fuse

PROCEDURE

The fuse box is located by the centre console forward of the gear lever. The 7.5 amp fuel pump fuse must, be replaced with a 10 amp fuse. Remove the appropriate fuse as indicated in the illustration opposite.
