PROBLEM:

POWER STEERING FLUID - CHANGE TO SPECIFICATION

CAUSE:

At the above VIN Texaco ‘Cold Climate PAS Fluid 14315’ was introduced on production.

ACTION:

The above fluid (green in colour) has not previously been used in Land Rover products and is the preferred fluid for 99MY Defender.

Where cicumstances dictate, it is permissable on vehicles in service, to mix or replace this fluid with products conforming to Dexron IID, IIE or III specifications.

STC 50517 - Power Steering Fluid - 25 litre

Smaller 1 litre and 5 litre containers of this fluid will be available in due course, as advised by Land Rover Parts Bulletins.
