DETAIL

From the above Vin numbers and gearbox number 55A0416034J all factory built R380 gearboxes are fitted with a revised design of 5th layshaft gear retention. This modification improves joint integrity between 5th gear and layshaft, significantly increasing durability. The component changes detailed below form a complete package. Note: The new parts must not be mixed with any old parts.

Note: This bulletin supersedes 37/07/95/EN the information in the parts section has been amended.

Information only: New parts should be used in preference to old in the event of a repair.

Layshaft Cluster Gear FTC 4980 replaces FTC 2723 FTC 4982 replaces FTC 2941 FTC 4984 replaces FTC 2974 FTC 4988 replaces FTC 4165 5th Layshaft Gear FTC 4976 replaces FTC 3810 FTC 4977 replaces FTC 2724 FTC 4978 replaces FTC 2945 FAM 9270 Split Collar STC 3378 Kit, this should only be used when FTC 4982 is ordered.
