Subject:
INTERMITTENT ALARM ACTIVATION - FALSE ALARM

Customer complaints of random activation of the vehicle alarm system with no obvious signs of disturbance have been found to be sourced at the upper
tailgate courtesy light switch. Due to unfavorable tolerances the switch plunger does not fully contact the tailgate frame. To deal with this problem, a new
switch has been introduced with a revised plunger length.

NOTE:

Please ensure that when installed, the new switch is property aligned with the striker rail on the tailgate.
