PROBLEM:

HANDSET BAR CODE INFORMATION INCOMPLETE

Bar code information requested from Land Rover Traceability may be supplied incomplete, i.e: some characters are missing which prevent the handset from being programmed.

CAUSE:

Bar codes supplied by Traceability have a maximum of 15 characters. TestBook requires a total of 18 characters in the first bar code and 17 in the second.

ACTION:

When entering a bar code supplied by Traceability, additional characters must be added as follows:

FIRST BAR CODE Add an asterisk at the start and end of the bar code and insert a letter (arrowed in illustration), between the last character and asterisk.

SECOND BAR CODE Add an asterisk at the start and end of the bar code (see illustration).
