Rear Bumper Lamp Bulb Holder Failure

DETAIL

A number of reports have been received that indicate a rear lamp failure on vehicles from the above VIN range, the symptoms are no illumination or a flickering bulb which up until present the only course of action was to replace the complete lamp assembly. Both of these concerns should now have the affected bulb holder replaced. If the rear lamp is filled with water then the complete lamp assembly must be replaced.

The factory fitted rear lamp assemblies have two different coloured bulb holders RED and WHITE which have the same part number, the latest condition bulb holders are white and will fit in either position, and are available from Unipart. The availability of the universal bulb holder is a major Land Rover and Parts initiative and should be fitted where possible and eliminate the fitment of a complete lamp assembly.

ACTION REQUIRED

Upon customer complaint of intermittent illumination of any of the rear/stop/tail. flasher or reverse lamps, follow the procedure below.
