Rear Footwell Carpet Poor Fit
DETAIL
During manufacture it was noted that the rear footwell carpet on the left hand side in the area of the "B" post had not been fitted correctly and vehicles
built to this condition may have been dispatched from Land Rover. To overcome this condition it was found that the carpet material required cutting to
centralize the "B" post carpet recess and repositioning which allows the carpet to fit snugly around the "B" post.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint adjust the carpet following the listed procedure.
PARTS INFORMATION
Loctite 495
PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the left hand side front and rear tread strips.
2.
Remove the left hand front seat belt anchorage.
3.
Remove the "B" post lower trim finisher.
4.
Cut the carpet 10 mm from the recess at the front edge of the "B" post to allow the carpet to move rearwards as shown in the illustration.
5.
Reposition the carpet rearwards and glue to the NVH pad using Loctite 495.
6.
Refit the remaining components.
