DETAIL
The existing "worm drive" hose clamps used on the Discovery power steering system can contribute to leaks at the Power Assist Steering (PAS)
reservoir hose connections, pump hose connection and steering gearbox connection. Replacing the "worm drive" clamps with Oetiker Stepless(R) Ear
Clamps rectifies fluid leaks found in these areas. The Stepless(R) Ear clamps ensure that a tight hose connection is maintained throughout the vehicles
operating temperature range. The Ear clamp does not require periodic tightening.
The diagnostic steps and repair procedures detailed on the following pages were developed as an element of the Land Rover Way Operation PRIDE.
This TIB provides a library location for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.
