Remove the transmission dipstick and wipe clean.

Insert the clean dipstick into the gearbox and ensure that it is pushed in completely.
CAUTION:
If the engine is HOT the MAXIMUM oil level is at 19mm (0.750 in.) above the upper maximum cold indicator hole/marking in the dipstick.
This location indicates the MAXIMUM HOT transmission oil level.
7.
Remove the dipstick immediately and observe the fluid level (Figure 1).

If the engine is HOT, fill transmission fluid to a level 19mm (0.750 in.) above the MAXIMUM cold marking.

If the engine is COLD, fill transmission fluid to the MAXIMUM cold marking.
