Alarm remote buttons on the 1996 Discovery have been wearing out prematurely. A new remote housing is now available with improved buttons. It is
required that all remotes for a specific vehicle be modified during the same visit. Following is the procedure to change the housing and buttons.

The diagnostic steps and repair procedures detailed in this bulletin were developed as an element of the Land Rover Way Operation PRIDE. This TIB
provides a library location for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.

Upon customer complaint for the symptoms outlined, perform the specified repairs.

Perform the diagnostic procedures and repairs outlined for the repair of Discover Remote Buttons.

With a suitable thin tool, pry open the two halves of the original remote.
