Place second nylon guide bushing on each hex- screw and secure guide bushing assemblies finger tight with provided hex-nut. (figure 11)

Orient tool pressure plates with "T" mark upward.

Wrap outer pressure plate in a 4 inch square paper gasket (to protect painted surface). Press plate and paper gasket over nylon bushings.

Position inner tool pressure plate over nylon bushings on the inside of the door case.

Install tool bolt with flat washer under head from inside door through center hole of tool assembly (figure 12).

Position flat washer on bolt, start the nut and tighten finger tight.

Tighten tool bolt/nut to 165 Nm. (120 lbf. ft.) to flatten the sheetmetal surfaces of the door case components.
4.
Remove the tool and verify that any door case latch mounting surface sheetmetal irregularities or imperfections have been straightened.
5.
If necessary, touch up any paint damage.
6.
Install a new latch and gasket.
7.
Tighten the latch screws to 4-5 Nm. (36-45 lbf. in.).
8.
Before installing the door trim panel, refer to the Workshop Manual, section 76, and ensure that the door lock actuator and link rod are adjusted
properly.
9.
Ensure that the water curtain is sealed fully around the perimeter. Seal any small tears using waterproof tape.

Perform the following inspection using first the exterior door handle and then the interior door handle to ensure that the latch paw operates freely:
