Front Grille-Lower Corner Cracking
DETAIL
A number of reports have been received that detail front grilles cracking in the lower left and right hand corners in the region of the unpainted area at the
rear of the grille. Investigation has shown that the cracking can be caused when using solvents during pressure wash to remove factory applied waxes.
ACTION REQUIRED
Do not use solvents to remove the wax in the region of exterior plastic components. Replace the front grille upon customer complaint or evidence of
cracking. Please submit Product Reports providing full vehicle details on instances past LJ 095230.

PROCEDURE
Refer to the workshop manual section 76 for removal and fitting instructions.

When replacing a front grille the lower front edge will require painting body color. It is recommended that the paint application be extended to the
rear edge of the grille in the region of the lamp finisher locating hole. Avoid applying excessive paint in this region.
