DETAIL

It as been noted that a small number of vehicles in the above VIN range may exhibit poor adhesion of the drivers footwell heel mat.

To overcome this concern, at VIN LJ 107798 process improvements were implemented at the point of manufacture.

ACTION REQUIRED

In the event of a customer concern follow the listed procedure.

PARTS INFORMATION

Loctite 495 adhesive

(call 1-800-321-9188 for supplier information)

PROCEDURE

1.

Ensure that the two surfaces to be glued are clean and free from any debris/dirt. 

2.

Apply Loctite 495 adhesive to the underside of the heel mat along the witness marks of the failed weld.

3.

Press the heel mat firmly down onto the carpet.

NOTE

Care must be taken to avoid adhesive coming into contact with the surrounding carpet, an excess of adhesive on application may also cause it to seep
through the carpet
