It is possible for an owner/user to cycle the ignition key (power up/power down) in a way that will cause a communication glitch between the GEMS
ECM and ABS ECM. If this occurs, DTC P1317 will be stored and the MIL will illuminate.

The diagnostic steps and repair procedures detailed in this bulletin were developed as an element of the Land Rover Way Operation PRIDE. This TIB
provides a library location for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.

If diagnostic trouble code P1317 is retrieved during TestBook diagnosis, follow the outlined procedure below.
