Using tool # LRT-54-005, install bearing as follows:

Orient bearing so part # is visible when installed.

Bearing is flush with the end face of the stub axle (See Figure 5).

Clean stub axle/spindle housing mating surfaces.

Place a new gasket on mating surface.

6.

Coat stub axle bolt threads with Loctite 270.

7.

Install stub axle with flat at 12 o'clock position.

CAUTION:

Make sure that the constant velocity joint bearing journal is butted against the thrust ring on the stub axle before the stub axle is secured or else
damage will occur.

8.

Place mud shield in position and install stub axle to spindle housing with six bolts. Tighten to 65 Nm (48 lbf. ft.).

9.

Install hub assembly to axle.

10.

Install spacing washer and hub nut.

11.

Tighten hub nut to 50 Nm (37 lbf. ft.).

12.

Rotate hub assembly and ensure free rotation with no bearing play.

13.

Back hub nut off 90 and tighten to 10 Nm (90 lbf. in.). This will give the required end play of 0.01 mm (0.0004 in).

14.

Fit locking tab washer.

15.

Fit second hub nut and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lbf. ft.).

16.

Lock both inner and outer nuts with locking tab washer.

17.

Install new gasket on driving member and install driving member to hub. Secure with five bolts. Tighten to 65 Nm (48 lbf. ft.).

18.

Install original axle shaft shim and secure with snap ring.
