DETAIL
On some vehicles small gaps in the adhesive between the windshield and body are causing customer complaints about water intrusion in Discovery
models. While these imperfections in windshield sealing do not affect the integrity of the windshield, customers have complained about wet carpet
around the foot wells or wet headliners around the windshield area. Sealing these small gaps is accomplished using sealant (Kent P/N 10570). Follow the
procedure outlined below for applying the sealant to the windshield. It is not necessary to remove the windshield.
The repair procedures detailed below were developed as an element of the Land Rover Way OPERATION PRIDE. This TIB provides a library location
for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint for the symptoms outlined, Follow the procedure outlined below for the removal of the old finisher, the inspection of the
retaining clips and the installation of the new tailgate finisher.
