SITUATION:

BRAKE NOISE / SQUEAL

The customer may complain of noise from the front or rear brakes when coming to a stop. The noise is most often heard at low speeds just prior to a
complete stop. Brake disc resonance may be the cause of the noise.

RESOLUTION:

REPLACE BRAKE DISCS AND PADS

Determine the source of the noise. Installation of later configuration brake discs and new pads on the affected axle will counter the brake disc resonance
symptoms and reduce noise levels.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSTALL NEW COMPONENTS

1.

Refer to TIB 60/01/01/NAS for procedures to avoid hub contamination and for hub parts information.

2.

Check condition of flange/bearing/sensor assembly.

3.

Refer to the RAVE sections listed below and install required new front or rear brakes discs and pads.
