Front Suspension

Damper - LH Side

Damper - LH Side - V8

Service Repair No - 60.30.13

Remove

1. Disconnect negative battery lead.
2. Disconnect multiplug from mass air flow sensor, release harness securing clip and position wiring harness aside.
3. Loosen jubilee clip and release 2 spring clips securing air intake hose, release hose and position aside.
4. Remove bolt securing A/C pipe to body.
5. Remove through bolt securing damper to turret.
6. Remove 4 nuts securing turret base to chassis.
7. Compress damper.
8. Release turret from chassis and maneuver from engine bay.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid straining the A/C pipe.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid straining the brake pipes.

9. Remove 2 bolts securing damper lower fixing to axle.

10. Remove damper.

Refit

1. Fit damper and align bolt holes.
2. Fit and tighten bolts securing damper lower fixing to 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.)
3. Maneuver turret into fitted position.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid straining the A/C pipe.

CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid straining the brake pipes.

4. Raise damper fit through bolt securing damper upper fixing to turret but do not tighten at this stage.
5. Fit nuts securing turret to chassis and tighten to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.)
6. Tighten damper upper fixing bolt to 125 Nm (92 ft. lbs.)
7. Fit and tighten A/C pipe securing bolt to body to 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
8. Fit air intake hose and secure with clips.
9. Connect multiplug to mass air flow sensor and secure wiring harness with clip.

10. Connect negative battery lead.

Damper - RH Side

Damper - RH Side

Service Repair No - 60.30.05

Removal

1. Disconnect negative battery lead.
2. Release coolant reservoir and position aside.
3. Loosen through bolt securing damper to turret.
4. Remove 4 nuts securing turret base to chassis.
5. Remove through bolt securing damper to turret.
6. Remove nut securing ACE pipe support bracket to turret.
7. Release the ACE pipe bracket and position aside. 
8. Remove ACE pipe bracket from turret fixing studs.
9. Release 2 wiring harness multiplugs from body for access.

10. Compress damper and release clip securing electrical harness to turret.
11. Release turrt from chassis and manuever from engine bay.
