Rear Wiper Arm Breaking at Arm Pivot Pin

SITUATION:

REAR WIPER ARM BREAKS AT PIVOT PIN

A tolerance inconsistency exists between the arm pivot pin and the wiper arm head. This results in a weak point at the pivot pin which can result in a
crack in the arm under heavy loads - such as snow.

RESOLUTION:

REPLACE WIPER ARM WITH NEW SPECIFICATION ARM

A new specification wiper arm is now available from Land Rover. Upon customer complaint of the above symptoms, follow the repair procedure to
replace the wiper arm.

DDW WARRANTY CLAIMS:

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply. 
Material allowance is included in labor operation.
