High Ambient Temperature - Hot Engine Restart: Repair Procedure
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
In hot climates after a short engine 'off' period and the engine still fully warm, the engine may fail to restart when cranked. Subsequent attempts may also
fail. If the vehicle is left to cool the engine will restart on the first attempt. This may be caused by inadequate fuel pressure to overcome vapor lock in
fuel line at high operating temperatures.
NOTE:
Vehicles eligible for Recall P010 - LR2 Emissions Calibration will receive the updated Engine Control Module (ECM) software during the course of
the Service Procedure outlined in the Recall Technical Bulletin.

In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Service Procedure outlined below to reconfigure the Engine Control Module.
