NOTE:  

 
Using a torque wrench on the halfshaft stake nut, make sure that the brake disc will still rotate forwards before 90 Nm (66 
lb.ft) of torque is reached.  
 
 
8.  

 
Rotate the adjuster back 8 clicks.  
 
 
9.  Loosen the wedge adjuster Allen screw half a turn.  
 

 

 
10.  Tap the brake disc lightly with a soft faced mallet, around the parking brake shoe location within the brake disc.  
 
 
11.  Tighten the wedge adjuster Allen screw to 6 Nm (5 lb.ft).  
 
 
12.  Install the access plug.  
 
 
13.  Repeat the above procedure for the other side.  
 
 

   CAUTION: The direction of rotation must always be forward.

   CAUTION: The effort required to rotate the disc must be less than 90 Nm (66 lb.ft).

 

The effort required to rotate the brake disc from the halfshaft stake nut must be between 40 Nm (30 lb.ft) and 90 
Nm (66 lb.ft).

   CAUTION: The parking brake adjuster must be rotated back EXACTLY 8 clicks. Failure to follow this 

instruction may result in damage to the parking brake system.
