Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to
Specifications

00)

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the
vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3 .
Remove the front driveshaft. For additional information, refer to
Front Driveshaft - 4.0L (47.15.02)

4 .
Remove the rear driveshaft. For additional information, refer to
Rear Driveshaft (47.15.03)

205-01)
5 .
Remove the transmission support insulator.
Remove the 4 bolts.
6 .
Disconnect the transfer case 3 electrical connections.
7 .
Release the wiring harness from the transfer case.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Release the clip.
