Removal

Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to
Specifications
(Section 414-
00)
2 .
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the
vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
3 .
Remove the transmission crossmember. For additional information, refer to
Transmission Support
Crossmember (76.10.09 or 76.10.92)
(Section 502-02)
4 .
Release the RH rear HO2S wiring harness.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
5 .
Disconnect the catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold.
Remove and discard the 2 bolts.
