Second Row Seat Release Fault

CONDITION SUMMARY:

INCORRECTLY ROUTED RELEASE STRAP RESULTS IN SEAT LATCH RELEASE FAILURE

NOTE: 

This Technical Bulletin supersedes and replaces Technical Alert TA04 501-LA01

A customer may report that the strap used for releasing the second row seat when exiting from the third row seat is not functioning or is loose. The strap
anchor to the seat-base has failed as the result of incorrect routing of the strap. The release strap retainer has detached.

Action: 
Should a customer express concern regarding an inoperative 2nd row seat release strap, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to re-route
and re-attach the release strap.

WARRANTY:

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSTALL RELEASE STRAP PROPERLY

Using the release handle located at the side of the seat, unlatch and move the seat into the tilted forward position.
