1.

Refer to LR3 Workshop Manual Section 414-00 and disconnect the battery ground cable.

NOTE:

Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:

GTR Home > NAS > Service Information/ LA - LR3/2005 > Discovery 3/LR3 2005 Workshop Manual > Bookmark "Body and Paint/501-05:
Interior Trim and Ornamentation" > Link "C-Pillar Lower Trim Panel"

2.

Refer to LR3 Workshop Manual Section 501-05 and remove the left side C-pillar lower trim panel.

3.

Remove the parking aid module as follows:
(Figures 1 and 2)

Remove the two retaining nuts.

Disconnect the three electrical connectors.

4.

Replace the parking aid module with a new unit as follows:

Connect and secure the electrical connectors to the new unit.

Tighten the retaining nuts to 5 Nm (4 lbf-ft).

5.

Refer to LR3 Workshop Manual Section 414-00 and install the C-pillar lower trim panel.

6.

Refer to LR3 Workshop Manual Section 501-05 and connect the battery ground cable.
