DETAIL

A new front and rear screen washer pump was introduced onto Range Rover Classic and Discovery from the above Vin numbers. The new part also supersedes similar part fitted prior to LH 647645 and LJ 081991 and therefore requires the fitment of a special conversion lead to enable the new part to fitted to older vehicles.

A link lead has been developed and is available from Unipart. (see parts information below), the new link lead connects between the main harness, and the 2 pin connector on the washer pump body.

ACTION REQUIRED

For information only: If a washer pump is replaced on vehicles prior to the vin numbers identified above, the updated pump and link lead should be used.

PROCEDURE

Refer to the workshop manual section 84 washer pump - windscreen or tailgate.

1. Drain washer bottle 2. Replace washer pump 3. Fit link lead AMR 3849 between the main harness and the washer pump. 4. Re-fill washer bottle
