DETAIL

A number of Product Reports have been received which detail intercooler bottom hose blowing off either the turbo charger or intercooler, to overcome this condition a new securing clip has been introduced from the above VIN numbers. The new part is directly interchangeable with the previous part.

ACTION REQUIRED

In the event of an intercooler hose becoming detatched fit the new securing clip.

PARTS INFORMATION

New part - Clip - STC128 4 off

PROCEDURE

1) Inspect the intercooler hoses for damage and fit new as necessary. 2) Fit new clip applying a tightening torque of 3.5 Nm using a torque screw driver. 3) Start and run the engine until normal operating temperature is attained, switch off the engine. 4) Allow the vehicle to stand for 30 minutes and retorque the clip to 3.5 Nm.
