Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf ): Service and Repair
Front Spring

CAUTION:  During the following procedure avoid over stretching the brake hoses. If necessary, loosen the hose connector locknuts to allow the hoses
to follow the axle.

REMOVE

-

Remove the front shock absorber.

-

Lower the axle sufficient to free the road spring.

Road Spring

-

Withdraw the road spring (3).

-

Withdraw the shock absorber bracket securing ring (4).

REFIT

-

Fit the shock absorber bracket retaining ring (4). Retain in position with a nut (5).

-

Refit road spring and raise axle into position.

-

Remove the nut retaining the securing ring.

-

Fit the front shock absorber.
