Front Side Window Operation

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
Range Rover (LM)

VIN: 6A194480 onwards

CONDITION SUMMARY:

FRONT SIDE WINDOW NOISE

A customer may report that during front electric window operation, a grinding or clicking noise is heard from the window mechanism. The noise is
evident only when near the top or bottom of window travel. 

Cause: 

The window glass is incorrectly positioned, resulting in a contact condition between the inner face of the front clamp and the regulator base-plate.

Action: 

Should a customer express concern regarding the above, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to adjust the glass.

No parts required.

WARRANTY

REPAIR PROCEDURE

ADJUST SIDE WINDOW GLASS

CAUTION:

Connect a suitable battery charger to the vehicle during window operation to ensure no loss of battery charge or malfunction of electronic
control modules.

1.

Lower the side window to mid-travel (approximately 260 mm (10-1/4 in).
