Service Repair No - 12.13.03

Special Service Tools

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the engine front cover.
4. Remove the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
5. Rotate the crankshaft until the flats on the camshafts are parallel with the cylinder head joint faces.

NOTE: The engine is now in the SAFE position.

6. Lock the crankshaft.

Install the special tool.

Install the screw.
