Position a 13 mm box end wrench onto the nyloc spindle nut at the back of the housing (Figure 2).

Rotate the nyloc nut exactly half a turn counterclockwise (as observed from the end of the shaft) to release the mechanism.

5.

Using the adjustment lever, verify that tilt adjustment functionality has been restored.

6.

Mark the Spindle Housing with a spot of white paint in the area shown in Figure 2, to indicate that this procedure has been carried out.

7.

Install the column cowl.

8.

Record the procedure and vehicle VIN on the Repair Order.
