SITUATION:
CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS REGARDING AUDIO AND NAV OPERATION
NOTE:
From VIN 3A128030 a new radio was introduced on 2003 Range Rover. This radio has new software installed that eliminates many of the issues
addressed in this TIB
A customer may complain about a range of symptoms in the navigation and audio system of the New Range Rover. Customers with Range Rover (LP)
vehicles may in some cases experience similar navigation system faults.
RESOLUTION:
TROUBLESHOOT THE FAULTS AND RESOLVE
Using the procedures in this TIB the following 2003 Range Rover audio and navigation complaints can be addressed:

Radio retunes itself to 87.7 at start-up
^
Navigation voice commands may sound distorted, or crackly and navigation system distance units appear in Miles/Yards rather than Miles/Feet
^
Navigation audio volume too low
^
Adjustment of speed dependent volume
^
Radio display mode "disappears"
