Cats (Computer Anti-Theft System)

To reduce the risk of theft, your radio/cassette and CD player is equipped with a computer anti-theft system (CATS). Once activated, the CATS four
digit security code protects the unit by preventing it from functioning if it is illegally removed from the vehicle. If power to the unit has been interrupted,
(ie. if the battery has been disconnected) the CATS code number will have to be re-entered before the unit will operate.

On delivery of the vehicle, you were supplied with a code card. This card contains a record of the four digit security code, as well as the unit's unique
serial number. The serial number is stamped into the metal side of the unit and, in the event of theft, would confirm proof of ownership.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you keep a safe record of both these numbers, and heed the following advice:

- NEVER keep a record of the security code in the vehicle.

- Do stick the security warning stickers where the potential thief is sure to see them but where they will not impede your vision of traffic and pedestrians

- the driver's door window is best.

- If you lose your code number, contact your nearest authorized Land Rover Dealer, who will be able to obtain this information for you.
