Loosen three water pump pulley bolts (Figure 1).
4.
Remove serpentine drive belt.
5.
Remove the water pump pulley bolts and the pulley (Figure 2).
6.
Raise vehicle on lift.
7.
Remove crankshaft pulley bolt and the pulley.
CAUTION:
Care must be exercised to avoid damage to the front cover seal recess when removing the seal.
8.
Remove oil seal from front cover.
INSTALLATION
1.
Clean crankshaft pulley seal journal.
2.
Check crank pulley seal surface for damage.
3.
Lubricate outer surface of seal.
