EAS Compressor Noise

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

SITUATION:

ELECTRONIC AIR SUSPENSION NOISE

A customer may complain of a droning noise from the front left corner of the vehicle. The EAS compressor may be the source of this noise. Compressor
noise can be the result of worn or deteriorated rubber mounts.

RESOLUTION:

REPLACE MOUNTS WITH NEW SPECIFICATION PARTS

Modified compressor mounts (RVL100000, RVL100010) have been developed, and have been factory installed in all vehicles after the above VIN.

The new mounts can be fitted without additional modification to vehicles produced between WA398798 and XA420550.

For vehicles produced before WA398798 a modified bracket (RQU100100) provides increased thread length required by the new rubber mounts.

NOTE:

When removing the EAS compressor, retain the three mounting nuts and dished washers, noting their original orientation.
