NOTE:

To improve unlatching of lower tailgate latches and to improve aperture sealing, the strikers should be positioned as far inboard as possible.
This adjustment should not hinder the latch-to-striker alignment (Figure 2). Setting this position will load the lower tailgate against the tailgate
aperture seal and cause the latches to release better.

Perform complete functional check of both upper and lower tailgates. Ensure proper operation and latch-to-striker alignment.
