REPAIR PROCEDURE;

BUFFER INSTALLATION

1.

Remove interior release handle trim to access interior release cable end and inner release handle assembly

2.

Apply Loctite(R) 495 to one side of the buffer and fit it to the release handle assembly as shown in Figure 1.

INSTALLATION OF REVISED RETENTION CLIP

1.

With interior release handle removed remove cable retention clip from release handle.

CAUTION: 

Ensure that the new clip is completely clipped onto the cable end and into the handle.

2.

Fit the revised style clip to the cable and the release handle (LRN655980-99A33 for left door or LRN655990-99A33 for right door).

3.

Assemble door components and trim.
