A possible defect which relates to motor vehicle safety may exist in some 1995 model year Range Rover 4.0 SE vehicles imported by Land Rover North
America, Inc.

DESCRIPTION OF DEFECT

Land Rover has identified a possible defect in the ABS high pressure hose fitted to a number of Range Rover 4.0 SE vehicles. Should this brake hose
fail, the driver would notice the illumination of the amber ABS, the red brake, and amber traction control warning lights, followed by a reduction in
braking capability. However, since there are two separate hydraulic circuits in the braking system, if the hose was to fail, the secondary braking system
would remain functional, enabling the driver to stop the vehicle with increased pedal effort.

VEHICLES INVOLVED/CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION

U.S. and Canadian Range Rover 4.0 SE vehicles within the VIN range SA300190 - SA313142 are involved in this recall action.

Using the included script, we are requesting that the Grenadier(s) at your dealership contact each customer. Please have the Grenadier who sold each
vehicle call their customer and facilitate appointments or hand over to the Service Team.

Customer notification will be sent from Land Rover on July 3, 1995. A sample of the customer notification letter is included.

Any unsold vehicles on this list and in dealer stock must be modified prior to sale. All vehicles being delivered to your dealership within the VIN range
must be checked for the presence of the campaign label affixed above the vacuum routing label under the hood. If the label is present. no further action is
required.

WORK PROCEDURES

All vehicles within the specified VIN range must have the ABS high pressure hose between the ABS pump and booster replaced. Detailed repair
procedures are contained in the enclosed Technical Information Bulletin D/C869.

PICK-UP AND DELIVERY/ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION

LRNA will provide an allowance of up to $50.00 per vehicle for pick up and delivery/alternate transportation. We urge you to use this allowance in order
to limit any inconvenience to your customers.

STATUS CHECKING/VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION

You may check the disposition of any vehicle using the Land Rover DCS terminal Warranty Recall/Search screen.

In order to prevent recall duplication, complete and install a Service Campaign label on the hood locking panel just above the vacuum routing label.
Cover the label with a clear acrylic protective film.

Complete the Service Action Record located in the back of the Passport to Service booklet
