Fuel Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair

Fuel Temperature Sensor 

Service Repair No - 19.22.08

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the throttle body gasket.
3. Remove the fuel temperature sensor.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

WARNING: The spilling of fuel is unavoidable during this operation. Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent fire and
explosion.

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to components, use an additional wrench when loosening or tightening unions.

Before disconnecting or removing components, ensure the area around the joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open
connections to prevent contamination.

Installation

1. Install the fuel temperature sensor.

Clean the component mating faces.

^

Apply sealant to the sensor thread.

^

Tighten the sensor to 7 Nm (5 ft. lbs.).

Connect the electrical connector.

2. Install the throttle body gasket.
3. Connect the battery ground cable.
