Parking Brake Cable: Service and Repair
Front Cable and Conduit
REMOVAL
1. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake rear cable and conduit at the cable connector.
3. Lower the vehicle
4. Disconnect the front parking brake cable and conduit from the parking brake control at the clevis.
5. Using a 13 mm box-end wrench, depress the retaining prongs and remove the parking brake cable and conduit.
6. Remove the parking brake cable insulator from the floor pan and run through the underside of the floor pan.
7. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
8. Using a 13 mm box-end wrench, depress the conduit retaining prongs and remove the front parking brake cable and conduit from the retaining
bracket.
