Oil Filter Adapter: Service and Repair
Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the oil level indicator tube.
3. Raise the vehicle on a hoist.

4. Remove the radiator air deflector.

5. Drain the engine oil from the crankcase.

6. Remove the oil bypass filter.
7. Clean the sealing surfaces.
8. If the oil filter adapter is not to be removed go to Installation.
9. Drain the engine cooling system.

10. Prepare the engine compartment to install the Engine Lifting Bracket Set.
