Caster and Camber

1. Perform the accurate vehicle trim test.  See: Suspension/Suspension Control ( Automatic - Electronic )/Adjustments

CAUTION:  The accurate vehicle trim test must be performed after the vehicle is positioned on the alignment rack and prior to the compensation
of the alignment rack sensors.

2. Measure the camber and caster.

Use an alignment rack meeting the following specifications.

All wheel alignment measurements must be performed on an alignment rack leveled to within 1.59 mm (1/16 inch) side-to-side and
front-to-rear and calibrated to within +0.1° camber and +0.3° toe.

The instrumentation must be able to compensate for wheel runout and must be able to read individual (LH and RH) toe measurements.

3. Check the subframe alignment, adjust if necessary.
4. If the subframe alignment was adjusted, recheck the camber and caster.

5. Loosen the nuts.

NOTE:  Perform the following steps only if adjusting the subframe alignment does not correct the camber and caster.

6. Remove the six nuts, the Noise/Vibration/Harshness (NVH) brace and the two brackets.

7. Remove the seven spot welds.

Use the appropriate compound spot weld drill bit.

CAUTION:  Do not cut deeper than necessary to remove the alignment plate.
