ISSUE
Some 2007-2008 F-150 and Mark LT vehicles equipped with a 5.4L engine only, may exhibit a rough running, hesitation and/or induction backfire
during the first drive away event following an overnight or extended soak. No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or other driveability concerns should be
observed. This typically occurs when the ambient temperature is below 60 degrees F (16 degrees C). The event will last only 20-40 seconds and normal
operation will return once the system enters closed loop. This TSB only applies to:
^
F-150 and Mark LT vehicles built between 12/4/2006 and 10/25/2007 at the Dearborn Truck Plant.
^
F-150 vehicles built between 12/4/2006 and 10/29/2007 at the Kansas City Assembly Plant.
^
F-150 vehicles built after 12/4/2006 at the Norfolk Assembly Plant.
